Blood Donation Camp on 26-1-2013



A voluntary blood donation camp has been organised on the occassion of Swami Vivekanada and Nethaji Subhash Chandra Bose's Jayanti on 26-1-2012 by Sri Sanathana Simha Charitable Trust, Manasa Mathru Mandali (Thindlu), Param Vaibhavam  Samsthana (Vidyaranyapura) and the Corporator of Vidyaranyapura, at Government school, Thindlu, Bangalore -97.

Our popular, 25 year old Vidyaganapathi Temple was renovated and the idols of Ganapathi, Subramanyaswamy and Sharadamba devi were reinstated on this occasion. A lot of sacred rituals and homas were performed in vedic style with loud chanting of shlokas. Procession of the deities was taken out on the roads of Vidyaranyapura.

Sri Shivakumara Swamiji of Siddaganga Mutt, Tumkur graced the occasion and blessed the large gathering. Byatarayanapura MLA Mr Krishnabyregowda, BBMP Corporator Ms. Nandini Srinivas and others also attended the proceedings.

A large number of devotees participated in this event with great enthusiasm. During the course of three days, the oneness and sense of belonging among all was clearly visible. They took part in the Chandi Homa, Kumbhabhisheka, Kalyanotsava,etc which went on till late in the night.

Members of Vidyaranyapura Samskruthika Kalakendra worked tirelessly and made this religious event a grand success.

New playground in 3rd block BEL Layout

BBMP provides a playground in Vidyaranyapura

On the occasion of Childrens Day 14^th Nov, a playground in 3^rd block BEL Layout, Vidyaranyapura was inaugurated by BBMP Corporator Mrs. Nandini Srinivas in the company of Senior Citizens, housewives and children. BJP Secretary, Byatarayanapura constituency Mr S.Prakash participated in this function.

The task of renovating this playground was led by Mr. L.N.Suresh, retired BEL employee. BBMP gave funds for construction and provided playing equipments like nets, bats, balls, racquets, etc. The playground has good seats, lights, walking track, hard surface to play volleyball, badminton, etc all of which were constructed by BBMP workers.
